The title of this post, is a saying that came about during the 60’s (I think) in the Vietnam war when soldiers would tell one another “Cover my a$$, I’m going in”. Obviously the person saying it was about to do something dangerous and wanted someone else to protect them.
Well Today, I have had to deal with different people working in another kind of government environment…actually I have been dealing with them for almost 2 months now. I should have remembered that old saying right from the start. From now on I will write down and/or email myself (easier to print out later when needed) every single time I call the office and keep track of who I talk to, along with the date & time. So when employees in this office want to claim that they never get the required paperwork, I can have documented proof that they are full of crap. Do whatever it takes to avoid any future aggravation. So when $h!t hits the fan, you come out clean, no matter what. Now because government employees are clueless, I get to go in for another Face-to-Face interview with them next week. Hopefully my steam don’t boil over because right now I would like to rip their office apart.
If there was ever a day where people could make me wish I had some vodka…it would be today. Unfortunately I only have ginger ale and some cashews to snack on. Well I am ready to go read a book till I fall asleep.

Now you would think with a name like “Healthy Choice” that they could figure out how to make a meal with less sodium. Geez, what a way to raise someone’s blood pressure. The last time I had mine checked at the Dr’s on May 31; my blood pressure was 130/80. The doc was not to worried about it but I was because that was higher then usual.
Between this meal and the honey-roasted nuts that I was snacking on earlier; I am making sure to drink extra water. Hopefully that will wash out some of the salt. I assume the extra salt is what caused the weird pressure-like feeling that has been coming & going in my head for the last few hours.
My grandson graduated from Jr.High last week. Wow, has he ever changed in the last few years.
This was the first time I have been in this location of Maine, and I thought it was nice. But a very long ride up there.
This is the view right behind the restaurant where 2 of my kids work, which is within walking distance from where they live. I was trying to get a shot of the ducks that were swimming around but I didn’t have my zoom lens with me. But if your eyes are better then mine…the ducks are on the left where the group of trees stick out into the water…across from the paddle boat or whatever its called.
Now..its on to other things. Catch you later, after my appt with the eye Dr tomorrow.
I started typing this at 1:25am. Now why am I up so early? Because I went to bed super early. I missed dinner and I fell asleep with my clothes on.I am slightly hungry now but I ran out of my cashews yesterday. Luckily I have an apple and a tiny individual serving container of applesauce, and 2 chewy granola bars sitting on my desk, so I should have enough to hold me over for a few hours when its time to go downstairs for coffee.
One thing about the internet, there is always someone else in the world who is up at the same crazy hour I am. So even though its dark and quiet at home, I can find people somewhere online. Actually I have another window open for pinterest and people are posting tons of dessert pictures, so I guess whoever else is awake is also thinking of food.
Now I know I should be doing my tedious paperwork for the health & human services, put it’s more fun looking at food pictures online. Besides one of these days I will have my own kitchen again and then I will really need all those food pictures. Not that I will be making any of the S’more pies or S’more cookies I am finding this morning but the salads & veggie dishes with avocados sure sound good.
Well now that it’s after 2am, maybe I should see if I can go back to sleep for another hour or 2, before I go downstairs for coffee. Maybe I should think about getting myself into some kind of routine..like make a sleeping schedule. Hmm, when was the last time I slept like a normal person..oh wait, what’s normal?
These 3 pillows would actually look alright in my nephew’s room..well my nephew is away in college so it’s my room for now. Now some people would want to sleep with all 3 pillows at the same time. But not me, that would be to uncomfortable.
Now that fun pillow was done with a picture I took in a restaurant while I was in Anchorage,AK. I had a “Chicken Fruit Salad”. It was huge & yummy. Yes, I am one of those silly people that takes pictures of food.
I like the message on this pillow, and should have put it on both sides.
Why am I thinking of sleep? Because I seem to just be tired alot lately. It’s weird but I am more tired now then I was when I was living in the homeless shelter in Phoenix. How can doing nothing make a person so darn tired? I bought vitamins and typing this post now reminded me that I needed to take one today. So even though I know I don’t eat enough now, I still try and make sure to take vitamins.
At least by not eating as much (well not this week anyways, because I ain’t staying over at Aunt Geri’s) I am losing the weight that I gained from the last time I stayed over at her place. Just my luck, that will mean she will be back over soon to see if I want to go visit her for a couple days.
Well I guess I will go lay down and read for awhile. I’m still reading “The Burn Farm”, which is a true crime story that took place in NH.
New way to show everyone that you like things RICH. Whether you like instant or brewed coffee.
BIG DADDY spelled out with M&M’s. Either you are telling Dad that he’s sweet or you are telling the world that you found your sugar daddy.
I was on my third cup of coffee when I started today’s blog and I usually tell people that my day doesn’t start until I have had my third cup of coffee. Now I should go downstairs to grab a bagel, because to much coffee on an empty stomach isn’t good for me.
There have been studies done (and you can search for them online) that people who drink 3-5 cups of coffee daily have less chance of getting Parkingson’s Disease or Dementia, and it reduces the risk of type 2 Diabetes. So with all that in mind, I see no reason to stop my coffee habit.
Some people get heartburn from drinking to much coffee. As long as I grab something to eat with my coffee, I am alright. I hate heartburn and now that I have searched for info about my aunt’s “Barrett’s Disease”, I will try to avoid heartburn as much as I can.
