Well I am supposed to fly out of Arizona tonight, but I am still cleaning out my room at this moment (9am). Believe me when I say that I hate packing for big moves to new places across the country. Now I love being in the new places, I just hate the physical packing that needs to be done in order to move. The mental capabilities that you need to organize stuff is just not in me. So I ended up paying for a whole new flight. It cost $320 to get a same day flight. Plus $25 for my checked luggage and $28 for priority boarding. It’s the first time I have ever paid for priority boarding. I didn’t pay to pick my own seat and the airline gave me a window seat. Unfortunately it’s a night flight so I won’t see much until we are closer to Boston. Guess I can watch the sunrise from the plane.
I am only traveling with 1 small backpack as my carry-on and 1 small suitcase for my checked luggage. Some day I really have to figure out my luggage needs better, so I can do without the checked luggage.
It’s interesting to see people walk around the airport with 2 or 3 suitcases, baby strollers, dogs, and 1 young man is carrying a skateboard. I would hate to carry all their stuff around. But then I see ladies with only a big purse, it makes me wonder where their stuff is. I assume those ladies are just going on a weekend trip and not moving to the other side of the country.
My plane starts boarding at 9:40, and for the first time ever I paid an extra $28 for priority boarding …it’s only about 6:00 now and I haven’t gone through the security checkpoint yet. I guess I should go get ready for that, and then stop into the newspaper store (whatever the name is) to buy a magazine and some gum. I almost always want gum when it’s time for the plane to take off.
Ok, now where did I put my I.D.?
EDIT: LOL, THIS POST WAS DRAFTED 2 MONTHS AGO. I DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE I HIT THE PUBLISH BUTTON TODAY UNTIL SOMEONE LIKED IT THIS MORNING.
