As a kid I loved fried chicken, corn dogs, onion rings, and the fried dough that I could only get at a country fair every summer. Now-a-days you can find more fried foods at a fair. About 7 years ago when I went to a fair with my brother, we got deep fried oreos. Supposedly Elvis liked fried pickles. My daughter grew up loving deep fried mozzarella cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers.
It’s as if the world is starting to deep-fry everything. Well maybe just everyone that isn’t on a low-carb diet. I hear that butter is the new thing to deep fry, but I have no desire to try that.
Today while I am in Laughlin, I tried deep fried deviled eggs. It’s the first time that I have ever heard of this. I was pleasantly surprised that they had no greasy taste to them.
